Are the feds and Atlanta Police botching the job?

Hey folks,

I have been a long time wrestling fan and one of my favorites of all time was Chris Benoit who they are saying killed himself his wife Nancy, and their 7 year old mentally ill son Daniel weekend before last, but something stinks about this investigation.

My dad who is an ex-cop and private investigator agrees. The evidence and reports coming in do not add up to the official line from the prosecutors and police. They say the evidence points to them being right but I say otherwise.

The autopsy showed the deaths of the first 2 to have taken place between Friday night and Saturday morning, but friend and fellow wrestler Chavo Gurerro stated at the memorial edition of Raw the day the bodies were found that he had spent that night at the Benoit house and was supposed to fly to the event with Benoit and they missed the flight. He places all alive and well and in good spirits.

From neighbors, to family, and friends. Everyone puts the couple as happy and loving and Benoits son was his pride and joy. They say they found steroids in the house but Benoits doctor claimed no recent use, and WWE officials stated he tested negative just 10 days prior to the murders.

At 12:01AM that Monday, 14 hours before the bodies were found by police in Atlanta, a poster who was tracked by IP address posted this. "The reason Benoit missed Saturday's match was because of the sudden death of his wife Nancy." The man was found to live in Stamford Conneticut, home of the WWE offices.

If you remember, the WWE was reported by Hulk Hogan and others in the late 80s early 90s for forcing steroid use on it's wrestlers. Part of the settlement was that WWE would lose it's license to operate if found to have resumed this action.

Benoit was recently moved from United States champion status on the WWE's 2nd rate show Smack Down to their lowest ratings show ECW, a place where very few of their top superstars are ever found. There are too many things pointing to Stamford at this time to ignore the possible scenario below and it should be investigated.

If the WWE reinstated it's policy forcing steroid use, Benoit is on record in serious opposition, having even kicked 2 other wrestlers out of the dressing room because they were bragging about using the drugs, according to pro wrestler Edge. If he was told to use the drugs it is reasonable that he would protest and threaten to expose the officials resulting in the punitive action of moving him to ECW and out of the lime lite. Could it be possible that someone took further measures to ensure Benoit's silence? Could inside information have lead to the post on Benoit's Blog by the Stamford man? Could Chavo have been in the home when the killing took place or is even the autopsy reasonable doubt?

Since 2 hours after the discovery and starting with the first police leak they have had one line of investigation. They have set out to prove that Benoit had murdered his beloved family in a fit of roid rage and then killed himself. They have even as of today arrested his doctor on drug charges to support that theory though the charges are related to other drugs from 2003-2005 and no mention of steroids or Benoit being among the drugs or people was made.

I have not set out to accuse anyone, in my mind there are at least 3 suspects in this case, but there are too many things out of place to ignore. I firmly believe the police in this matter need to expand their search into the possible causes of the events, and that they have not explored other possibilities with a mindset other than to dis-prove them to support their belief.

Criminal investigation should start with as many scenarios as you can come up with. All should be explored and disproved until the truth remains. You do not start with one scenario and try to strengthen that case ignoring other possible causes, and that is the case in this investigation. Meanwhile it is possible a killer is on the loose and Benoit's family is going through hell as their son is turned from fan favorite to monster before their eyes.
